In the spirit of Christmas Days, Aradippou celebrates and changes rhythms, mood and color. The circle of festive events opens officially on Saturday 1 December 2018 at 4 pm with a Christmas parade. The parade in which organized organizing sets and shapes of the city will begin from the Heroes Monument and after crossing Archbishop Makarios Boulevard will end up at Apostolou Louka Square. At around 17.00 there will be the illuminating of the Christmas Tree by the Mayor of Aradippou, Evangelos Evangelidis. Then there will be Christmas songs from various musical ensembles and a juggling show. In the square there will be Santa Claus, who will be delighted with the children, popcorn and wool of the candy, while wine will be offered to the crowd. At the same time in the parking area of the square, there will be a market with Christmas wooden houses with delicacies, beverages etc., while the children will be able to photograph with Santa Claus and his sleigh.
The Christmas events will continue on Sunday 16th December at 15.00-20.00 with the "Christodenon Street" event, which will take place on the Arch. Makarios III Avenue (Bank of Cyprus). The event will include an entertainment program with music and dances from community ensembles and institutions, while young children will be entertained with a juggling show. The event will be completed with the concert JAZZY CHRISTMAS with the Enfonas and Organos music ensemble. At the same time, there will be other activities such as free portraits, exhibition of antique cars and photography with Christmas figures and stilt. It is also noted that on Christmas Road will be a market with Christmas wooden houses with delicacies, beverages and more.
The aim of the Municipality of Aradippou is to enchant the children and to give back to adults the look of childish distress. All events are free for the public.
