In the spirit of Christmas, Aradippou is celebrating, changing rhythms, mood and color. The cycle of festivities officially opens Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 16.30 with a Christmas parade. Organized groups will be involved in the parade and and will start from the Heroes Monument and after crossing the Makarios Avenue will end at St. Luke Square.  Then, around 17:45 the illumination of the Christmas tree will take place by Mr. Evangelos Evangelides, the Mayor of Aradippou. Christmas songs are following from various musical ensembles. The Santa Claus will give sweets to children, popcorn and cotton candy, at the square. In the same area you can find balloon-creations, facepaintin and wine will be offered to adults
On Saturday, 24th of December, at 13.00, 15.00 and 17.00 you can watch a triple presentation of the child movie "The twelve Dogs of Christmas" in Kallithea cinema
The day after Christmas, on Monday 26th of December, 9.30-13.00 o'clock in the manger of Jesus Christ (Av. Arch. Makarios G89), children may have fun with reindeers and elves. The wife of Santa Claus will share balloon-creations and she will draw portraits for the children. The Christmas train will be waiting for everyone, young and old, for walks on the main streets, while Santa Claus will give candies & popcorn. Our young citizens may have fun in a house made of candy, admire Santa Claus’s wife while preparing cookies and watch a magician’s performance. The train will continue its trips and finish at 14.00 - 16.30 at Krasa’s area (kamares), at the crossing of Kalymnos & Michael Zeniou routes
The events will end on Friday, December 30th, 2016, when Santa Claus with his carriage will gives sweets to the children and takes them on a ride at the Mental Health Park (Area Outside earth-Kamares). At the same time and place you can find balloon-creations and face-painting, inflatables and also there will be a magic show by a magician for the children
Aradippou Municipality aims to charm the children and remind the adults the importance of having a carefree childhood. All events are free to the public
